Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the port of Sorrento from where you’ll reach the port of Castellammare di Stabia. You’ll be transferred by bus to Pompeii where the guide will wait for you to start to explore the main features of the ancient city completely destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD such as the baths, bakeries, Arena, Brothel and more.
Leaving the archaeological site, you’ll depart to Mount Vesuvius reaching the high of 1000 metres. From here, if you wish, purchasing the entrance tickets you can walk to the crater of the “Sleeping Giant” accompanied by an authorized Mountain guide. Upon reaching the crater, the local Mountain Guide will lead you around the crater and give an explanation (guide service not always available) and free time to walk around by yourself. Afterwards you’ll reach by bus the port of Castellammare to get back to Sorrento by boat. During the cruise back you’ll have the chance to enjoy some free time for swimming, so do not forget your beach towel and swimwear. Arrival at the port of Sorrento and back to the hotel.

Please note: The entrance fees at Pompeii and Vesuvius are not included. The guide service will be provided just during the visit of the archaeological site of Pompeii and at the Vesuvius. Don’t forget your camera, swimwear, towels and sun cream. Take passports to obtain free or reduced admission where possible. Limited wheelchair and buggy access.
