How to combine history and culture with a relaxing sail along the Sorrento Coast? Do not miss the opportunity to choose this amazing tour! Pick up from your hotel or meeting point and transfer to the port from where you’ll board your boat to reach the port of Castellammare di Stabia. Transfer by bus to Pompeii to meet your official excavation guide for a walking tour of the main features of the ancient city destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD such as the baths, the bakeries, the arena, the brothel and more. Leaving the archaeological site, a bus will take you up Mount Vesuvius to the height of 1000 metres. From here, if you wish, you can walk up to the crater of the “Sleeping Giant” and meet an authorized Alpine guide who will give you some explanation about the origins of the volcano and its geographical characteristics. Afterwards you’ll be transferred to the port of Castellammare di Stabia to get the boat back to Piano di Sorrento.
Please note: Entrance fees to Pompeii and Vesuvius not included. The guide service will be provided just during the visit of the archaeological site of Pompeii. Don’t forget your camera, comfortable footwear, water, sun protection and hat. Take passports to obtain free or reduced admission where possible. Limited wheelchair and buggy access. Departure from Piano di Sorrento port.
