This tour gives you the opportunity to explore some unique aspects of ancient life. The first part will be a two-hour guided tour in the ruins of Pompeii, full with pagan and mythological symbols, documents and secret stories to discover. Follow a path through sacred and profane, mystery and knowledge, legends and reality. Join us in this unforgettable experience with a professional guide. After the visit of the archaeological site, the bus will take us to “Cantine Villa Dora” in Terzigno, one of the most important wineries of the area. The land is made up of eight hectares of vineyards and five of olive groves inside the Vesuvius National Park, facing south-west at an altitude of 250 meters. The 1400 olive trees are in average aged 60 years and circle the oil mill. After the wine experience and a food tasting, an expert will introduce you to the history of the Cosmetic at the Roman time. Vanity represented an easy trap for those lacking a strong character, and in fact was true to most of the ‘low-rank’ population. The care of the skin and that of a well groomed body became not only a chore, but a true obsession. These strong inclinations gave birth to studies of plants and materials thought to have significant and valuable cosmetic properties, and the wine was used to mold them together. You will join a demonstration of a natural product’s line produced by mixing natural herbs with a base of wine as in the ancient Pompeii.

Please note: Entrance fee to Pompeii not included. Don’t forget your camera, comfortable footwear, water, sun protection and hat. A minimum number of 6/8 participants is required.
