Ischia is the island of regeneration, beauty and history! Thanks to its own volcano, now well behaved though it continues to steam away, its terrain is ruggedly dramatic dominated by the central peak of Mount Epomeo. The thermal waters here have been an attraction since Roman times and Ischia has 70 hot springs and spa. The rich soil means that vegetation thrives. Not for nothing it is called the green island. Pick up from your hotel or dedicated meeting point to Sorrento port where you’ll meet your guide to board the ferry to Ischia. On arrival you’ll join a bus tour around the most beautiful parts of the island to see all its highlights. Free time for lunch before reaching the subtropical La Mortella Gardens. In 1949 a famous English composer Sir William Walton and his wife Susana purchased the property on the hill of Zaro where they created this magnificent garden to get away from London city life. Extended over an area of 16000 square metres it features more than 300 rare and exotic plants, along with ornate statues and waterfalls. Enjoy your free time in a nice walk while having a breath-taking view over the bay of Forio.
Please note: Entrance fee to La Mortella Garden not included. Don’t forget your camera, comfortable footwear, water, sun protection and hat.
